This policy explains how data is used in our communications, services and visits to this website.
1. Data controller and contact
The data controller is Visan Nicolae Adrian, trading as PC Garage Fribourg. Address: Route de la Brèteneire 12, 1634 La Roche, Switzerland. For enquiries about your data: contact@pcgaragefr.ch or +41 78 338 66 29.
Our processing is subject in particular to the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Any mandatory provisions applicable in other countries remain unaffected.
2. Contact enquiries and quotations
When you contact us, we use the contact details you provide, the subject of your enquiry and its content to respond, prepare a quotation and organise the next steps of your project. Fields marked as required in the form are necessary for submission; other information is optional.
Only provide information relevant to your enquiry. Do not send passwords, recovery keys, banking details or your clients’ confidential information in the initial form.
The form is managed using Fluent Forms on our WordPress website. Authorised people can access the enquiries stored there, and a notification is sent to our email account. The email provider and notification delivery method are specified below.
3. Delivery and follow-up of services
Communications associated with an accepted quotation are used to manage the service, appointments, deliveries, invoicing and warranty requests. Access to equipment and the data needed for an intervention is agreed with you according to the work to be performed.
Any file transfer or backup must be specified as part of the service. Please tell us about any particular confidentiality requirements before handing over your equipment.
4. Hosting, email and access to data
Website and database hosting: The website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias (GE), Switzerland. Infomaniak states that its Web services and their backups are hosted in its data centres in Switzerland.
Message delivery and email hosting: The contact@pcgaragefr.ch mailbox is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias (GE), Switzerland. Infomaniak states that its Mail Service is hosted in Switzerland. Form enquiries are stored on our WordPress website, and a notification is sent to our business mailbox hosted by Infomaniak. We use the contact details provided to respond to and follow up on the enquiry.
Access to enquiries is limited to the people and service providers who need it for the purposes described. Any provider involved in processing and any transfer abroad must be identified in the information above, together with the countries concerned and applicable safeguards.
5. Technical operation and protection against abuse
When the contact form is submitted, Fluent Forms records the information provided, as well as the IP address, browser, operating system, source page URL, and submission date and time. These details are stored in the database of our WordPress website, hosted by Infomaniak. When a user is signed in to a WordPress account, the submission may also be associated with that account. We use this information to handle enquiries, check their delivery, resolve technical problems and prevent abuse. Access is restricted to authorised people responsible for these tasks. Form protection relies in particular on WP Armour, which uses a honeypot field to detect automated submissions. Access to the administration area is protected by Limit Login Attempts Reloaded, used in local mode to limit login attempts. Security information includes IP addresses, entered login identifiers and blocking events. Security notifications are sent to our business mailbox hosted by Infomaniak. They may contain technical information about blocked attempts. This processing helps protect the website and keep it running. Infomaniak backs up our Web hosting daily and makes the seven most recent backups available. These copies include the website’s files and database, including personal data stored at the time of the backup. To operate the website, diagnose errors and prevent abuse, our hosting provider Infomaniak keeps access and error logs. Access logs include the IP address, request date and time, requested resource, server response code, volume of data transferred, referring page where provided and technical information sent by the browser. According to Infomaniak’s documentation, access and error logs are retained for at least seven days.
6. Cookies, measurement and external content
Our website uses the functional cookie ‘pll_language’, provided by Polylang, to remember the browsing language. This cookie contains a language code, such as ‘fr’. It is not used to build an advertising profile. The cookie remains stored until it expires or is deleted in your browser. You can check its expiry date, delete it or block it in your browser settings. Your language preference may then no longer be remembered between visits. Fonts are hosted with our website at Infomaniak and loaded from our own domain, without connecting to Google Fonts servers to display them. Our website contains links to external services, including WhatsApp. If you choose to open them, the relevant service processes the data needed to operate according to its own privacy policy. Processing associated with the contact form and technical logs is described in the other sections of this policy.
7. Phone, email and WhatsApp
The contact buttons open your phone application, email application or WhatsApp. If you choose an external service, communications through that service are also subject to its own terms and privacy rules. You can always contact us by email or phone without using WhatsApp.
The WhatsApp link is not a form hosted by PC Garage Fribourg. Avoid sending passwords or sensitive data through it.
8. Retention
Enquiries without an order: Contact enquiries, unaccepted quotations and associated communications are deleted or anonymised no later than 12 months after the last relevant exchange, unless a documented need relating to a legal obligation or claim requires otherwise. Services and warranties: Information needed for follow-up is retained throughout the service and applicable warranty period. Afterwards, only records needed to meet a retention obligation or to establish, exercise or defend rights are kept, for the period justified by that purpose and the applicable time limits. Information that is no longer needed is deleted. Accounting: Accounting books and records subject to retention requirements, including invoices and payment records, are kept for 10 years from the end of the relevant financial year, subject to a longer statutory retention obligation or ongoing proceedings. This period does not automatically apply to all enquiries and emails. Technical logs: For operational and security logs whose retention period we control, the normal retention period is 30 days after creation. Information needed to investigate an incident or meet a legal obligation may be isolated and kept longer, for as long as necessary. Technical form metadata is also covered and is distinguished from content needed to follow up on the enquiry. Retention periods specific to logs managed by our service providers are stated in the section on technical operation. Backups: Residual copies disappear according to the rotation and expiry cycles of the services used, as described in the section on technical operation. They are reserved for restoration and are not used to continue routine use of deleted data. After a restoration, deletions that have become due are reapplied. Internal statistics: We retain results aggregated by period and type of service to monitor activity volumes and revenue. Results that are genuinely anonymous and no longer identify a person may be retained for comparisons over time. This does not extend the retention period for the underlying personal data.
9. Requests concerning your data
You can ask us whether we process data about you, obtain the information provided for by law and request rectification. You can also request deletion or object to certain processing, subject to the conditions provided by applicable law.
Send your request to contact@pcgaragefr.ch with enough information for us to locate the relevant communication. We may ask for proportionate verification of your identity. A retention obligation or another legal ground may prevent immediate deletion; we will then explain how your request is being handled.
You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
10. Updates
We update this policy when our services or the tools we actually use change. Published version: 01.10.2026.
